about
Icarus is a one-track story about rejecting dogmas which limit and dwarf our human existence. These social, political or religious constraints tear our minds as invisible chains, and drive our paths like a yoke.
Over these 8 minutes of music, Novere tries to bring the listeners through a dense emotional journey, exposing them up to the heat of the sun before crashing them down to the icy water of the sea where the body of Icarus ends up lying.
lyrics
Icarus - Lyrics
All gone, too long, we wait here to die.
Flying too close to the sun. Sun.
House of blank words, speak to them all to touch the unknown.
Only those blind enough will stay on the road. The road.
All gone, too long, hail the king without a throne.
I lost my wings in the eye of the storm.
So I am falling.
I am calling.
I am falling into the sea of lies.
Here, I lay beneath the hell.
Here, inside my mortal shell.
Come and hear me mourn.
Death of my cursed soul.
Staring into the mirror.
Looking in the eyes of God.
Lost hours, so flawed.
Remember the time when we wasted it all
To not feel alone.
Holding to the illusion of hope.
When the world falls over my shoulders,
I feel like a feather lost in cold rain
Even if I'll hang on this tree forever.
I won't call your name.
I won't call your name.

These dudes just blew me away!! I just love their music so much, the atmosphere and the heaviness created could easily flatten a city. I bow to the mighty SÂVER🤘 Darknight
